Iowa State is on the board in the 2021 NFL draft. Kene Nwangwu has been selected by the Minnesota Vikings in the 4th round, the 119th overall pick.

Nwangwu shot up draft boards after his pro day workout in March. Many had him slated to go in the 6th round or later but the Vikings took a stab at the former running back and return man for Iowa State. Nwangwu received honorable mention All-Big 12 last season rushing for 339 yards and four touchdowns. He also had 19 kickoff returns for 550 yards, including a pivotal one against Oklahoma in Ames.
