Four Additional Cyclones Sign As Undrafted Free Agents

Big opportunity ahead for these Cyclones!

Each Cyclone that entered their name into the NFL draft process following the 2020 season will have an opportunity to make a squad in camp. We saw Kene Nwangwu get his name called by the Minnesota Vikings and now four additional Cyclones will get a shot at their NFL dream as undrafted free agents.

Dylan Soehner- New Orleans Saints

Soehner received a $120,000 signing bonus following the draft which is usually a good sign they expect him to make the team. As a senior, Soehner played 11 games and caught 18 passes for 205 yards. New Orleans certainly will utilize him to block in their multi dimensional rushing attack.

JaQuan Bailey - Philadelphia Eagles

The all time sack leader is headed to the city of brotherly love. He will join former Iowa State assistant D.K. McDonald on the Eagles. Bailey finished his career fi with 151 total tackles, 44 tackles for loss and 25.5 career sacks

Lawrence White - Tampa Bay Buccaneers

If you are going to leave a good team, why not join another one. Lawrence White will get his shot with the defending Super Bowl Champions. White tallied over 200 tackles and had 3 interceptions during his career in Ames.

Landen Akers - Los Angeles Rams

Six years after starting his college career, Landen Akers will get an NFL shot with the Rams. Akers caught 38 passes for 593 yards and one touchdown over the course of his time in Ames.
