Former Iowa State Basketball player Michael Jacobson is now in the NFL. Reports came in last night of Jacobson working our for the Seahawks yesterday afternoon and on Friday the club signed the Cyclone standout to a deal. Jacobson will go into Seahawks camps as a tight end.

Waived WR Darvin Kidsy.
Jacobson played 67 games at Iowa State over two seasons, averaging over 9 points and 6 rebounds a game. He was instrumental in Iowa State’s Big 12 tournament championship run during his Junior season. Jacobson spent last year playing for Kyiv-Basket of the Ukrainian Basketball League.
Jacobson has a very good football background. He earned a scholarship from Iowa State to play football before deciding to take the basketball route. Seattle has a history of trying to take former basketball players and convert them to tight ends. Hopefully this time it works out for Jacobson.
