Offensive Players to Watch: Iowa State @ Kansas State

Farmageddon - at night!

Saturday night is the last regular season game before we learn where Iowa State will be taking its winter holiday. So far, the Cyclones are 6-5 going into the future non-rivalry (SAD).

Iowa State: Easton Dean

Easton might not be the flashiest player to watch on the offense, but he is the most versatile as of late. His ability to pass and run block along with his ability to catch has bailed out the offense on multiple occasions. He currently has 156 receiving yards and two touchdowns on 15 receptions. He is tied for fourth in receptions, fifth in yardage, and tied for third in receiving touchdowns. Last week saw Easton’s career-long touchdown on a 4th down play where he slipped past the defense on a Rocco Becht fake QB Power and took it for a 66-yard touchdown. His leadership will be tried against a very tough Mildcats defense.

Kansas State: DJ Giddens

DJ is one of two bell cows for the Mildcats offense. He currently leads the running back room with 164 carries, 961 rushing yards, and eight touchdowns. He has also accumulated 28 receptions, 286 receiving yards, and two touchdowns. Last year, he spent time behind Deuce Vaughn and still managed to have 89 carries, 518 rushing yards, and six touchdowns. K-State's offensive line has been the cornerstone for their running production, but DJ is also able to make his own plays when needed.
