Cy-Hawk Basketball Series Part: II saw the men’s team get their 600th win in Hilton Colosseum with the largest margin of victory in the Cy-Hawk Series at 25 points with the final score of 90-65.
In what could only be described as a battle of men against boys, the Cyclones led at half with an 18-point lead and never turned back. The Cyclones had four players reach double digits in points led by Keshon Gilbert with 25. Robert Jones finished with 18, Tre King with 17, and Tamin Lipsey with 11. Lipsey and Gilbert also finished the game with six assists a piece.
In an abysmal performance, the Hawkeyes were led by Payton Sandfort with 14 points. The Hawkeyes finished the game only shooting 38% from the floor and 81% from the charity line. Unfortunately for Iowa, the Cyclones only committed 13 total fouls.
Well...this didn’t age well
