Iowa State keeps the offense rolling against a road-weary Oklahoma State team. Coach Mike Boynton was Tweeting (X’ing) about their misfortunes live before we all got word that tip-off got moved back to 7:15 PM.

The start of the game was heavily favored towards the Cowboys with Iowa State having difficulty keeping up going first media timeout. Oklahoma State had a 12-8 lead and seemed to have great physicality and mental fortitude under the circumstances of sitting in an airport since 6:00 AM. After the second media timeout, Iowa State started to go to work on a 12-0 run that helped them push through to end the first half at 37-26 in their favor.
The men came out still hot in the second half with Hason Ward FLYING to get dunks and having more takeoffs than Oklahoma State was prepared for.
Tamin Lipsey led the Cyclones in points with 17. Other double-digit point contributors were Tre Kin (11), Milan Mimcilovic (12), and Hason Ward (12). Keshon Gilbert and Rob Jones both finished with six each. With this win, Iowa State is now 13-3 and 2-1 in conference play. Their next game will be at BYU on January 16 at 8:00 PM on Big12/ESPN+. Big thank-you to the crowds this week as Iowa State finishes this week 4-0 in Hilton with two Top 5 wins and 3 wins against ranked opponents! Stay safe!
