Cyclones Struggle on Offense

The Cyclones fall 0-1 in conference play. The eleventh ranked Sooners fought off a late Cyclone comeback. Iowa State failed to get off to a hot start and played from behind the whole game.

Hason Ward led the Cyclones in scoring, and there lies the problem. King, Gilbert and Lipsey combined for 13 points. Milan Momcilovic shot an abysmal 25% from the field, and the Cyclones couldn’t score.

Credit Oklahoma’s defense into forcing the Cyclones to use most of their shot clock and make them take bad shots. It doesn’t get any easier for the Cyclones, they welcome the Houston Cougars to Hilton Coliseum this Tuesday. Houston is coming off of an 89-55 drubbing of West Virginia. Let’s hope the Cyclones can keep it with in 30.
