The snow would not deny Iowa State from its first Big 12 win of the season and it was a big one! The Cyclones knocked off the last remaining unbeaten, the second ranked Houston Cougars 57-53.

Iowa State jumped out to double digit leads multiple times in this one only to find Houston clawing its way back into the game. It was a defensive slugfest as it usually is in the Big 12.
The game came down to the final minute of the game when Milan Momcilovic hit a baseline fade away jumper to give Iowa State a two point lead. Houston would then miss their following shot and Milan would seal the game with two free throws.
Iowa State will now look to pick up their second Big 12 win of the season this weekend when Oklahoma State comes to town. That game will tip off at 5pm on Saturday Night.
