Iowa State 133 pounder Earl Hall will be back next season after being granted an extra year of eligibility. He spent two years at the Olympic Training Center prior to coming to Iowa State origionally one of those years was counted against his clock.

Iowa State Lands Transfer from Duke


Iowa State added another piece to the puzzle on Monday when former Duke safety Evrett Edwards announced his intent to transfer to Ames.

The 5-foot-11, 190 pound Edwards was ranked as a 3-star prospect out of high school and played in eight games for the Blue Devils in 2014 as a freshman. He will become a Cyclone and be eligible to play immediately with two years left on his clock after graduating from Duke in just three years.

Iowa State Adds Offensive Lineman Jeff Nogaj


Just a few days after picking up a commitment from Ames lineman Colin Newell, ISU has gained another pledge from offensive lineman Jeff Nogaj.

Nogaj is a 6-foot-5, 305 pound recruit from Johnstown, Ohio. He's unranked by many of the recruiting services, but his size gives him great potential to contribute in the future.

With today's commitment, the Cyclones now have five players committed in their class of 2017.

Offensive Tackle from Ames Commits to Iowa State


Colin Newell, a 6-foot-5, 260 pound offensive tackle from Ames has committed to play for Iowa State in 2017. Newell is ranked as a 3-star prospect according to Scout.

The OT also had offers from Colorado State, Eastern Michigan, Miami of Ohio and Illinois State according to Scout's Alex Halsted. Today's commitment means ISU's class of 2017 has four prospects total so far.

Iowa State players rescue woman from sinking car during spring break


Among her rescuers were current ISU football players Jack Spreen of Bedford, Ind.; Josh Jahlas of Cedar Rapids; Spencer Benton, of Van Meter; and Lazard, of Urbandale.
