Richard Pitino has officially landed his second top 150 prospect of the week by poaching Eric Curry from his hometown Razorbacks. Curry's mom took to Twitter this morning to announce the commitment.
Thank you to all my recruiters for giving the opportunities any kid with a ball and dream could ask for but........ pic.twitter.com/ppvAyinvvW

Curry, who visited Iowa State for the September 12th tilt against the Hawkeyes, had the Cyclones in his final three, although it became increasingly clear throughout the week that the Gophers and Hogs were the clear one and two.
I've been mentioning for a couple weeks now that Coffey and Curry visited Minnesota together, and much like Donovan Jackson, Coffey has been helping recruit his friend to the twin cities since he gave his pledge. There's no doubt that their bond played a role in the recruiting process.
Amir said he told Pitino & Ben Johnson days ago. Upon hearing, Johnson screamed. Amir can surely see Eric Curry committing next. #gophers

Without Curry, Iowa State moves forward with a front court of Emmanuel Malou, Simeon Carter, Brady Ernst and Solomon Young for 2016. While there is definitely talent in that group, none have seen game action in a Cyclone uniform yet. I wouldn't be surprised to see the staff seek the services of another big man in this recruiting cycle, or on the transfer market to add some depth.
